This will improve traffic, rankings, and increase awareness of your business through search engines.

But SEO just doesn't start there? How do you measure your website's search engine optimization and how do you compare to other businesses local SEO? Search Engine Optimized Design

Now that we've established that we need to set up the map for the search engines... How exactly does that work?

Just because your website looks great aesthetically, doesn't mean that when it is indexed by a search engine, it will look the same to it.  They are limited in how they crawl your website and read your content.  There are specific procedures to ensure that your site is SEO friendly.

Use HTML to identify your text.  Make sure your toss your titles in a H1 tag and use H2 for any sub-titles like the above "Search Engine Optimized Design."

Fill alt text for all your images on your website.  Not only does this help visitors navigate your site who cannot visually see your website, it helps search engines know information about a picture.  Alt text is a text description of images and video on a web page.

Keywords

Keywords are the fuel to a search engine's fire.

They are an integral part of how people find what they are looking for.  Search engines index and crawl websites and remember keywords on that site so that it can look back to that site later when looking for those specific keywords.  If you want to ensure that your website management business is showing up in search, make sure you talk about website management on your site.

Don't take this as putting your keywords over and over on a site means that you will be the top search result.  Search engines have a system in place that prevents against this kind of abuse.  If you're not using your keywords naturally and properly, there's a high chance that the search engine will find out.  In some cases, your site can even get banned from search all together.
